My Dinner with an Astronaut
One might wonder what AAWaterjet and an astronaut have in common. Questions on what they could possibly have in common or why they would even be associated with one another may arise. The answers to all of these questions became clear to me one starry evening when recently, I had dinner with astronaut Nik Halik. Nik is a man about the world, literally. Not only has he traveled extensively to every continent, explored the bottom of the Atlantic for lunch on the bridge of the Titanic, but he has also traveled in space.
Space is the common factor that brings us two unlikely candidates for affiliation together. While Nik is an active participant in space travel and exploration as an astronaut, AAWaterjet is responsible for the manufacturing of prototypes and parts that help make it possible for the crafts to take flight into space or submerge to the bottom of oceans. It may sound like a cliche, but it really is a small world after all.
